Happy April everyone! March was a very busy month here in the classroom! We have learned so much about the animals we’ve been studying as well as measuring and opinion writing! Now it’s time to move on to some new exciting topics in April. We are going to have an amazing last few months of school.
Topics for the Month of April
Reading: We are working on our last reading unit of the year which is all about talent and special skills. We will be coming across lots of new vocabulary and continuing to increase our understanding of parts of speech. Upon completing this unit we will spend time reading and interpreting Native American literature.
Math: We are currently learning how to measure using various units of measurement. Our next unit builds upon our addition and subtraction skills that we have gained throughout the year and will relate them to finding length.
Writing: We are finishing up an opinion writing unit that we have been working hard on for some time. Soon we will dive into poetry!
Science: We are finishing up our animals/habitat unit and moving on to learn all about plants. This is the perfect unit to go along with the spring weather that’s on the way.
As always, feel free to email me with any questions and thanks for all you do for your littles!
